Things with snow on them

When I left work Friday it was snowing, the first real snow of winter. It was only an inch and it was gone by Saturday afternoon, but I made hay while it lasted-- things with snow on them are instantly more photogenic, don't you think?

Maybe it's that unearthly snow-light that does it... I can't tell you how much I have been longing for snow. Something must be really wrong with me!

  1. I feel the same way about snow. It is almost unearthly beautiful when it snows in the city. I don't have to leave the house for work, so I can enjoy it completely. I spent most of my adult life in Southern California and moved back to Ohio a few years ago (kicking and screaming, but that's a long story). I love the snow and the various shapes of trees against the gray sky. But that's all I like about winter. Oh, okay, one more thing: the beauty of the sunlight on the rare days it's out, but that doesn't make up for the cold!

  2. @Ludmilla-- Southern California to Ohio is kind of cruel. I was spoiled by living in SF Bay Area for a couple of years, and have only recently (after 7 years!) regained my New England hardiness.
